ADEYINKA, Foluso Modupe is presently an Associate Research Professor in the Innovation and Technology Policy Department, NISER. Foluso obtained her B.Sc (Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of Ibadan in 1986.  She also obtained a M.Sc degree in Information Science from the University of Ibadan in 1992. Foluso was awarded a Nuffield Foundation Scholarship to obtain a Certificate in “Technology Capability Building” under the Training and Guided Studies (TAGS) Program at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex, Brighton, UK in 1994.  Subsequently Foluso obtained another M.Sc Degree in Technology and Innovation Management from SPRU, University of Sussex, Brighton, UK in 1999. Foluso holds a PhD in Information Science, from the University of Ibadan in 2008. Her research interests span the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Policy field. These include the Socioeconomics of Information and Communication Technology (ICT); Industrialization and the development of the Manufacturing sector. Her research interest also includes Gender Mainstreaming in Development Issues.

 

She was part of the NISER team that provided technical support to the Focus labs (Manufacturing) set up by the Federal Ministry of Budget and National Planning (MBNP) (March–April 2018) to provide in-depth engagement with the private sector in order to get traction and clear commitments towards making long term investment in line with the strategic goals and targets of Nigeria’s Economic Growth and Recovery Plan (ERGP).

 

Dr Adeyinka is a member of several professional groups, which include the African Technology Policy Studies (ATPS) Network, based in Nairobi, Kenya, Association of Information Scientists in Nigeria, and Women in Management Association (WIMA), an affiliate of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

Dr, Foluso Modupe Adeyinka has over 35 publications to her credit, which includes two books as co-authors, chapters in books and papers in renowned local and international journals.
