Ademola Luqman Adeagbo

ADEAGBO, Ademola Luqman works in the areas of urban development, housing policy analysis, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and sustainable development. He obtained his first degree in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife in 1986. He obtained his Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Ibadan in 1995 while he bagged his Ph.D degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology  (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso in 2018. His current areas of research interest are Determinants of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene behaviours (WASH Formative research), spatial interaction in urban and peri-urban areas and affordable housing provision. He is a member of a number of professional bodies and associations including, Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Town Planners’ Registration Council (TOPREC), Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) and International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS). He has consulted widely for WaterAid, Nigeria, WaterAid West Africa, Water and Sanitation for Africa, SPARC/DFID, First Exploration and Petroleum Development Company, among others. He has attended many conferences in and outside Nigeria and has published in learned journals. He is presently a Senior Research Fellow in Environment and Physical Infrastructure Policy Department.
