NISER researchers in the economic-related departments in the institute; Economic and Business Policy Department (EBPD), Agriculture and Food Policy Department (AFPD) and Innovation & Technology Policy Department (ITPD), underwent a training workshop on macroeconometric modelling for building capacity. The training, under the facilitation of Prof. Owosekun, Prof V. Akinyosoye, Prof. V. Okoruwa, and Prof. B. Adeoye, was also made open to researchers from other departments.
The training focused exclusively on the building, updating and operationalization of both macroeconometric and Input-Output models for macroeconomic policy forecasts and projections.
The first and second modules took place in February and March 2024, with a third set to take place in April.
Nigerian Institute Of Social And Economic Research is a public research institute located in Ibadan. The center is one of the foremost publicly funded think tanks in the country.
